Dr Susan Palmer

Founder & CEO

Susan, the founder and CEO of Gather My Crew, is a registered psychologist and health consultant. She has worked in public health and the not-for-profit sector for the past 20 years and has significant experience working with those suffering trauma. Susan has experience developing clinical psychology services, a research PhD investigating the impact of trauma on young people, experience conducting psychosocial research projects in hospital and health services, and has worked with large health organisations in her capacity as a health consultant advising on health design and service delivery. A passion to build healthier and stronger communities has been combined with this clinical, research and consulting experience to create the foundation of this unique project.

 

Amanda Nolan

Strategic Advisor

Amanda is passionate about helping Gather My Crew enable more people and communities to practically support each other, both physically and emotionally, during tough times. Having started her career as a phystiotherapist, Amanda is now an experienced executive leader and advisor to enterprises, executive teams, leaders, and boards, delivering strategic business and operational change and transformation. She has led change in the healthcare, human services, life sciences, retail, and finance industries across Australia, the United States and Europe. Her experience spans a range of organisational functions such as transformation, technology, quality, safety, risk, finance, marketing, research and clinical trials, supply chain, customer experience, communications, and governance.

Liz Migliorini

NSW Community Liaison

Liz joined Gather My Crew in early 2019 as the NSW Community Liaison. Her role is focussed on increasing awareness and building relationships across Sydney and regional NSW to expand our reach and ensure that all people in need of practical support are aware of our community building technology. While her previous work life was in property economics consulting with strong database, analytics and modelling skill, after her own family experienced tough times she became passionate about Gather My Crew. Liz is committed to making a positive impact for people experiencing similar difficulties and is an invaluable member of the Gather My Crew team.

 

Chris Miles

Business Development Advisor

Chris is highly experienced business professional with expertise throughout Australia and South East Asia. He has held leadership roles within a number of large retail businesses where, as General Manager, he was responsible for all aspects of business success. Chris is working with Gather My Crew to support and enhance the business side of our organisation so that we can reach our full potential. As we move towards expanding our social enterprise arm, the skill set that Chris brings to the team will play an essential role in our long term strategic success. 

 

Board Members

Ben Davidson

Ben, a Partner with Corrs Chambers Westgarth Lawyers, chairs the Gather My Crew Board. Throughout his career as a lawyer, Ben has stood out for his ability to understand the commercial impacts to his clients’ operations and tailor solutions that lead to favourable outcomes. Ben’s expertise in managing negotiations and disputes has seen him act for a number of Corrs’ major clients across a range of industries.

Andrea McNamara

Andrea is a founding partner of Alp McNamara,  specialist accountants for business owners and private clients.  A qualified Chartered Accountant with a Masters of Taxation and 30 years of providing trusted advice.  Working with business owners across numerous industries including private hospitals, retirement villages, childcare, importing, manufacture and investment.  This has provided Andrea the opportunity to learn and challenge, focussing on assisting clients to minimise their business, economic, investment risks.

Trent Peterson

Trent is the Managing Director at Catalyst Investment Managers, a leading Australian mid-market private equity manager. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Director of Cirrus Media, Max and Home & Decor Holdings (Adairs & Dusk businesses) and a director of the SkyBus parent company. Trent has previously worked with the Corporate Advisory Division of NM Rothschild & Sons and the Taxation and Corporate Finance practices of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Simon Want

Simon is committed to pursuing positive and aspirational changes to public policy and business strategies that deliver better communities. As co-founder of Fabrico, an advisory firm that works with Government, private enterprises and public benefit organisations, Simon identifies compelling propositions that deliver greater value to the community, customers, members and shareholders.

 

Jane Fenton AM

Jane has more than 20 years experience as a non-executive director, including as the chair of a number of not-for-profit boards. She founded the marketing communications consultancy Fenton Communications in 1987 where she is currently an advisor. She is also the Chair of the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre, Deputy Chair of the Queen Victoria Market Pty Ltd and Cancer Council Australia and a trustee of the MCG.

Chris Eade

Chris is the founder, and co-founder of a number of companies, all with a digital and technology focus. Utilising his finance background Chris founded Lifebroker, a company that pioneered the digital space for life insurance. Lifebroker grew to be the largest life insurance broker in AustraliaMost recently Chris has focused on sophisticated phone habit technology currently used to understand consumer behaviours.
